The Company

Why was Blue Roots founded?

Blue Roots Timber was founded because we saw a growing demand for premium sustainable timber. With the demand for first-class sustainable timber and care for the environment patently rising, there was an increase also in demand for great service and trust.

When we saw this happening we had full trust that we were the entrepreneurs that could meet this need.

Even more needed.

With an increasing world population, the request for timber is increasing. But regretfully this does not mean that premium quality and service will grow at the same rate as parties in the business promise.

More than anyone we understand that not meeting expectations means delay, lack of trust, and bad for business.

Blue Roots views

Blue Roots Timber headquarters is based in Malaysia, in the heart of Southeast Asia. The company was founded in 2013.

After years of experience, we were convinced there was room in the market in start-to-end genuinely sustainable timber, from selecting sustainably logged timber to producing it into products and semi-finished products and transporting it to where it is used.

Our main focus is exporting value-added sustainable timber products into the European and North American markets. To achieve the best results, we rely on our great team of people, in whom we have faith to be running Blue Roots.
Investing in our people is part of our goal as we believe it will return trust and effort being made.

We believe a major reason to exist is how we focus on sustainable timber products, which are carefully selected through forest concessions worldwide.

We understand the importance of preserving tropical forests, this is why we source our hardwood from responsibly managed plantations and certified suppliers. By adhering to strict environmental standards and promoting reforestation efforts, we ensure that our timber products are both of the highest quality and at the same time contribute to the long-term health and vitality of tropical ecosystems.

Blue Roots Timber is an FSC member.

Chain of custody certification is how the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) verifies that forest-based materials produced according to our rigorous standards are credibly used along the product’s path from the forest to becoming finished goods.

The FSC label on a finished product signals that the materials used during production have met the chain of custody requirements at every step in the supply chain, from sourcing to distribution.

We take pride of being a PEFC member.
